Christmas 2020

As you are already aware we had a very fun and festive day last Tuesday for Christmas video shoot. We are delighted with the end product and I have the link attached here for you to watch. It is also available to watch on the school website: https://www.kilricklens.org/christmas-2020 . A huge amount of work went into this project and I particularly would like to thank the teachers, the school staff, the Board of Management, Santa Clause, our videographer, local businesses and of course the stars of the show – the children for making this video possible.

Confirmation

It was third time lucky as we finally got to celebrate our Confirmation ceremony in Kilrickle Church on Thursday, December 17th. It was a beautiful occasion. Thank you to all who contributed to make it a wonderful ceremony.

Thank you to Bishop Kirby who made this ceremony very special and personal. He has been of tremendous support to the teachers and the pupils in preparing for this sacrament. To Mr. Kelly who prepared the students so well for the celebration that was to take place in March and it was a great pity that we could not celebrate the sacrament then. I would like to thank Madeleine Dolan and Gwyneth Lusted for helping with the music. To Mary Kennedy and the whole church committee who made the flower arrangements and made the church look wonderful for the ceremony.  Thank you also to Paul Rogers who helped hang the bunting. Thank you to the parents who helped with the preperation for ceremony also.

Christmas Letters to Grandparents

Well done to ask the children in the Senior Room who wrote letters to their grandparents in the build up to the Christmas holidays. Maith sibhse go léir.

Pizza Party

Thank you to Supremacs who sponsored a Pizza Christmas Party! This treat was very much appreciated!

Thank you Marian

We would like to share our sincerest thank you to Mrs. Marian Garvey who has retired from her position as school cleaner at the end of term. Marian has given remarkable service to the school over the years and we all owe a debt of gratitude to her for keeping our school safe and clean, particularly since school re-opened in September. Thank you Marian.
